LIVE: Apollo Junction

By The River: the new single from Apollo Junction marks the beginning of their 3rd album out in 2023. Their second album, ‘All In’ peaked at number 15 in the UK Charts and 3 in the Alternative Music Charts. Selling over 1,200 copies on vinyl from their Leeds based record label Shed Load Records.

Rapidly becoming known as the band of the people, Apollo Junction continue to grow their following, playing music that fans of all different backgrounds relate and connect with. The band, from Leeds, West Yorkshire are creating a movement of real music loving, vinyl buying fans, who still believe in guitar bands and the power of live music.

Not always following the conventional route of most bands, they try and do things a little differently, to engage with fans and to make the experience of being an Apollo Junction fan more memorable. Recently, the band took a coach of fans to the highest venue in the UK for a sell-out show, they performed a show in one of the most haunted building in the UK, played in brewery (and proved that they can organise…) and are soon to play on a steam train (the next mad idea dreamed up by the band’s record label). You only have to look at the bands social media to see how passionate their fans are.

That being said though, they are no stranger to performing on the bigger stages, playing to over 50,000 people in 2021. Supporting the Kaiser Chiefs on tour, performing at a number of UK festivals including Isle of Wight, Carfest, Kendal Calling, Pub in the Park, Bingley Weekender, plus x2 sell out shows in Leeds (Warehouse and Leeds University).

The bands music has also featured in the new Disney Plus series ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ with Ryan Reynolds and featured extensively on the ITV 1 coverage of The World Cup soundtrack.
