David James Smith is a prolific songwriter, guitarist and singer and the driving force behind the rock band Austin Gold.

Labelled as ‘Melodic Hard Rock’, Classic Rock magazine have given glowing reviews of the bands Albums and live performances which, coupled with regular plays on BBC Radio 2’s Rock Show and Planet Rock Radio including ‘the Ones to Watch’ feature, have catapulted the English quartet firmly into the limelight. Dave’s melting pot of influences come together to create something very special, from heavy guitar riffs, to the most delicate heartfelt ballads, from atmospheric sonic landscapes, to rhythmic hook driven melodies. Playing a stripped down acoustic set at FortyFive Vinyl Café, Dave’s performance is sure to be a real treat for both the existing Austin Gold fan base and those hearing his music for the first time
