With The Independent describing him as possessing "vast emotional reserves reminiscent of the great Tim Buckley." Sam is a respected figure in the folk scene, Sam’s journey began at just sixteen, writing and performing while training as a gilder in his late father's workshop. His debut album Kairos received widespread recognition and was named one of the standout records of 2014 by The Independent. His most recent release, Black Feathers, produced by Grammy-nominated Dom Monks, has been lauded for its narrative depth and haunting beauty. The title track was even featured on Sky's The Day of the Jackal, starring Eddie Redmayne.

Having recently collaborated with artist and producer Pete Josef as part of the project Supalung, Sam is now recording new solo material, with a release set for early 2025.
